Description:
While creating a diagram I have been used working with Catalogue. In Windows version of WB the Catalogue window is always expanded and I can see my tables. If I change a diagram, catalogue windows updates itself immediately.

In Linux version of WB Catalogue window is allways closed and I have to expand it manualy to have the same functionality as in Windows version.

Yes this is really a minor issue but I prefer the same behaviour as in Windows. Thanks boys.

How to repeat:
See description.

Many thanks for writing a bug report.

You are right but I think the bug is in Windows version.

It is not an expected behaviour that such like this is expanded by default.

Lots of users just would get mad when thousands of directories would be expanded by default.

Maybe this is a difference between Windows and Linux world. But when I look into registry of Windows then nothing is expanded per default there too.

So in my eyes the bug here is on Windows.

Yes, I see your opinion, but... Windows registry and WB Catalogue have nothing in common - yes both are a Tree view elements. In registry there are tons of information you can work with. In Workbench this is probably the only way how to find a table in large ERR diagram easily.

And if above is not right why have Catalogue window on workplace collapsed? It's only waste of place right? If I need Catalogue and I have it always opened I want to use it.

Many thanks for writing a feature request. After discussion we decided that we won't implement such kind of feature during foreseeable future.
