Description:
When doing large joins between 2 tables approx 5000 rows each, if I don't use/forget to use an index on left join criterea, then I get an error message 2013 lost connection and the mysqld server hogs up processor for 1 to to hours before going back to normal state

How to repeat:
repeatable on VARCHAR(26) or UNSIGNED INTEGER join criterea
Can send tables if necessary

Suggested fix:
If query is going to be too long then after giving back prompt on client, then stop unnecessary server processor hogging.
