Description:
when using MySQL Query Browser with Command Line Parameters the connection is nowhere displayed, making it dificult to know what server you're on when having multiple windows open.

tnx a lot!
jst.

How to repeat:
eg.
MySQLQueryBrowser.exe -h192.168.2.3 -uroot

the connection is not displayed
it would be verry nice to see the host and port somewhere.

Suggested fix:
put host & port in the title zone, where it comes when using a stored connection.

althow it would be nice is host and port are always there, even when using a storded connection.

Thank you for the problem report. I am not able to repeat this though. When I called QB as follows, for example:

MySQLQueryBrowser.exe -h127.0.0.1 -P3308 -uroot -proot

I see

"Connection: root@127.0.0.1:3308" in the title of QB window. What else do you need?

apperently i had 2 versions of the mysqlquerybrowser, testing with an old version sorry.

the following 'problem' however remains:

when i use a stored connection i somethimes, because of wanting to be fast, i symply change the port number and connect.
however, after changing the port, the connection name shown on the top remains the one of the original connection.

It would be nice to have, next to the connection name, also the connection parameters, eg. "Connection: connectionname (root@127.0.0.1:3308)"
so the real used parameters are shown.

tnx a lot!

Yes, it would be nice to show parameters even when you started with a stored connection. In case you changed something ot just don't remember what exact parameters stored connection had. This is a reasonable feature request. I had changed synopsis accordingly.

Many thanks for writing a bug report. We are on the way to implement full functionality of MySQL Query Browser into MySQL Workbench. We won't add this feature request anymore.

More informations about MySQL Workbench you will find here:
