Description:
If such there is such a table in INFORMATION_SCHEMA, we can create a stored procedure or an event for an event scheduler in order to PURGE them periodically / intelligently. For example, we can purge the oldest binlog when total amount of file size exceeds some threshold. This may help DBAs so much.

Suggested fix:
Identical fields to SHOW BINARY LOGS command plus timestamp indicating last update should come in handy.
