I've read a bunch of bug reports and this bug appears to have been around for sometime... is it safe to say that ssl certificates on a windows stations that needs to connect to a linux server running a mysql database is a no go period !

Hello Don Weaver, Thank you for the bug report. I could not repeat the issue at our end using with MySQL Connector / ODBC 5.3.6 version. Probably this is fixed in latest versions, please feel free to reopen this bug report if you encounter this issue again. Thanks, Chiranjeevi.
