Description:
When I enable require cipher as above for a user and then specifiy that cipher as a client option including the 3 certificates (ca,client-cert,client-key) the login fails.... My my.cnf on the server also include ssl-cipher=EDH-RSA-DES-CBC3-SHA along with ssl-ca, ssl-cert, ssl-capth and ssl-key.

When I regrant the same user but this time I specifiy require ssl along with the certificates and on the client I only specify the ca,client-cert and client-key the login succeeds and when I check ssl variables it does show the above cipher is in use.

OS: centos5 2.6.18-128.1.6.el5

How to repeat:
As in above description.....

I've read a bunch of bug reports and this bug appears to have been around for sometime... is it safe to say that ssl certificates on a windows stations that needs to connect to a linux server running a mysql database is a no go period !

Hello Don Weaver,

Thank you for the bug report.
I could not repeat the issue at our end using with MySQL Connector / ODBC 5.3.6 version.
Probably this is fixed in latest versions, please feel free to reopen this bug report if you encounter this issue again.

Thanks,
Chiranjeevi.
