Description:
The option "Show Column Types" don't show the new setting when changed.

The option "Show Column Flags" doesn't work at all. Flags are never shown on the ERM.

How to repeat:
Go to "Tools" -> "Options..." -> "Diagram", group "Tables"

Toggle "Show Column Types" and see there's no effect. It is only shown when restarting WB.

For "Show Column Flags" the setting never has any effect. Flags are never shown.

Column types are shown/hidden only when you add/remove or change some column after changing settings in Options. Same it true for flags (you have to set/remove some flag and then they all will be shown/updated at the EER Diagaram. This is a minor bug.

this is fixed. will be included in 5.1.13

An entry was added to the 5.1.13 changelog:

In the Workbench Preferences dialog, on the Diagram tab, in the Tables panel, the checkboxes Show Column Types and Show Column Flags did not work correctly. Selecting or deselecting Show Column Types only had an effect when MySQL Workbench was restarted. Selecting Show Column Flags had no effect at all, and the flags were never displayed.
