Description:
Is there character_set that supported arabic language..

and how can i change the default character set using sql command

How to repeat:
the order by when you add an arabic text...

it's not order it well...
it's order it using the default charactet set

and there is no an arabic character set in mysql server

Suggested fix:
can you add win 1256 charset

UTF8 supports Arabic, and is probably a better choice for a database character set because it also supports other languages (and supports a few characters that don't appear in CP1256).

Thank you for taking the time to report a problem. Unfortunately
you are not using a current version of the product your reported a
problem with -- the problem might already be fixed. Please download
a new version from http://www.mysql.com/downloads/

If you are able to reproduce the bug with one of the latest versions,
please change the version on this bug report to the version you
tested and change the status back to "Open". Again, thank you for
your continued support of MySQL.

Additional info:

cp1256 supports in 4.1 and in 5.0
