Description:
workbench crashes every half hour or so, I don't see a relationship to anything specific I'm doing when it crashes.

How to repeat:
use for an hour, see it crash.

Many thanks for writing a bug report.

I need to know if you are using 32bit or 64bit Ubuntu.

Also I need to know how you installed Workbench.

Susanne,
I use 32bit Ubuntu 8.10 on an MSI Wind with an intel atomic processor. If you like, I can try on my home computer which is 64bit amd Ubuntu 8.10.

I have installed workbench following the instructions on the mysql workbenchh web site, I downloaded the 8.04 Debian package.

Thank you for the feedback. Are you able to get a stack trace so you can attach it here?. Thanks in advance.

Where does it put the stack trace? I start Mysql workbench from the Applications menu, I don't know where it puts the stack trace, if it writes one.

We need a core dump here from you for a deeper analysis. The output that you will get in shell when it crashes would be nice.

This bug seems to be duplicated posted (by me, sorry).
My backtrace and stuff you can find here: http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=43522.

I already recognised these crashes too. Randomly and hard to catch.

After speaking with development I will close this bug report because we already know about the crashes and we will hope that we managed to have none of these anymore in GA version.
