Description:
I've tried setting the 'advanced paramters' in the Instance/Session -> Options -> Connections -> Advanced Paramters tab

I've tried the following settings, non of which yield the expected results.

interactive_timeout | 10
reconnect | 0
skip-reconnect | 1

Essentually, the client will just continue to reconnect to the server and persist a connection even though the processes are killed.

How to repeat:
Open the Query Browser, click the ... (edit sessions) button, highlight a session, click on advanced parameters.)

You can monitor it by opening terminal connection to the server (not via the gui tools to not complicate anything).

Connect via the Query Browser, kill the session/thread via the show processes list. Watch as the thread is recreated with 'sleep'.

Many thanks for writing a feature request. Which version of MySQL server are you using?
