Description:
(1) I installed a copy of MySQL 4.0.20c on WinXP/Pro (current with fixes). I installed MySqlAdministrator 1.0.5beta.

(2) From the initial database setup I use the GUI tool to remove the 'build' host entry cause not needed and I understand the documentation advises this for security reasons too.

When I do this on the 'root' account, the 'localhost' entry is also dropped.

(3) I can add a single 'localhost' but it will not stick when I change to a different user entry. If I add 'localhost' plus some fiction host, both entries remain when I move to another user entry. If I return to the 'root' account, and remove the fiction host, localhost disappears too.

Disclaimer: newbie to the MySQL world, maybe I missed something.

How to repeat:
repeat steps (1) and (2) from the description, possibly work thru step (3).

Suggested fix:
none

I wasn't able to repeat, for to have a best guess only if you
explain me how you did the remove of the accounts.

Thanks
