Many thanks for writing a bug report. Unfortunately, I can't repeat this behaviour. Relations are drawn very well also after scrolling here. Tested with ubuntu 8.10 64bit and 32bit. How did you create the relations?

I draw relations using the tool bar on the left. I click one of the tool bar icons, then I click one table, then the other. the relation gets drawn, foreign keys get added. A co-worker created a schema on his Windows computer. On his computer the graph is ok, but on my computer it shows the behavior that I described for the two bugs I filed. The links show when the scroll bars are at top left and the tables are arranged properly, they disappear when I scroll or move tables, they re-appear when I scroll back or rearrange the tables again. This goes for all types of relations. I will add screenshots. Tonight I'll try on another Ubuntu computer.

This is what I get when I do $Xorg -version: X.Org X Server 1.6.0 Release Date: 2009-2-25 X Protocol Version 11, Revision 0 Build Operating System: Linux 2.6.24-23-server i686 Ubuntu Current Operating System: Linux roman-desktop 2.6.28-11-generic #40-Ubuntu SMP Fri Apr 3 17:39:51 UTC 2009 i686 Build Date: 07 April 2009 12:44:10AM xorg-server 2:1.6.0-0ubuntu11 (buildd@rothera.buildd) Before reporting problems, check http://wiki.x.org to make sure that you have the latest version. Is that what you wanted?
