Description:
Because I use solaris as my workstation, all the mysql tools should support solaris.

How to repeat:
I can not install the mysql gui tools and workbench in solaris.

Many thanks for writing a feature request.

We are already on the way to get Workbench running on OpenSolaris. It will be the next OS that we will add to our supported OS list.

We will apply fixes to the Workbench code that make it compile on Solaris but we will not add official support for this OS at this point in time. We will have to rely on the community to provide us with bug-fixes that are Solaris specific.

Official Solaris support is planned for a later release of MySQL Workbench. This is a simple matter of available resources and number of users/customers on the individual platforms.
