Description:
This is a very easy to repeat and frustrating bug that makes MySQL QB appear to be highly unstable. It has been present in a number of preceding versions on the Mac OS X platform.

It can lead to substantial loss of work, particularly when a complex table is being created.

How to repeat:
1. right click on schema name
2. click "+" to add a column
3. click on a blank area of the window below the new column name

Query Browser consistently crashes and relaunches

Workaround is to stop myself from automatically clicking the blank area and force myself to click the plus, or the title of another field.

Suggested fix:
trap the mouse-click in an empty area and don't perform any action.

Have just tested this on a different setup (MacPro) and connecting to an entirely different MySQL 5 server.

Same result.

Many thanks for writing a bug report. We are on the way to implement full functionality of MySQL Query Browser into Workbench. The platform you are using is unsupported for MySQL Query Browser.
