Description:
when I run configure, it fails with the following:
checking for ranlib... ranlib
checking for pkg-config... no
checking for ../mysql-gui-common/library/base-library... no
configure: error: mysql-gui-common source tree must be present in the same directory as this program

The configure.in indicates that it is checking for the presence of gui-common using the old directory name.

How to repeat:
run "configure":
$ ./autogen.sh --prefix=/usr --localstatedir=/var/lib

Suggested fix:
See attached patch.

Many thanks for writing a bug report.

Unfortunately MySQL Administrator is not supported for Linux at the moment.

http://www.mysql.com/support/supportedplatforms/tools.html

We will implement whole MySQL Administrator functionality into Workbench. This will fix your problem by automatism.

I was tired of the patching so I made a copy of common folder then renamed it mysql-gui-common
