Description:
When attempting to start Query Browser from 1) Administrator->Tools->MySQL Query Browser or 2)right-click table->Edit Table Data, I get a dialog alert saying "Querying tool for MySQL Servers has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

How to repeat:

Clicking link for details in alert dialog shows the following:
"AppName: mysqlquerybrowser.exe AppVer: 1.2.13.4 ModName: mysqlquerybrowser.exe
ModVer: 1.2.13.4 Offset: 000cdd1d"

This makes me think that the links in the Administrator tool weren't updated. The Query Browser starts when launched from the Start menu.

same problem, launching Administrator from Querybrowser or querybrowser from administrator. it should not be too hard to find the problem ????
is it new to this version ?
[19 Dec 2008 1:34] Dave Nechodom
In all previous versions I've used, cross-app launches have worked as expected, so, yes, it's new to the latest version.

This appears to be the same bug reported in #41415.

Have the same issue.....Want to back down to previous version of MySQL Admin but can't find it in the downloads.

This seams to be linked to another problem I am having. I am unable to launch either the administrator or the query browser from the command line.

see Bug #41972
