Description:
I have both lua 5.1 and 5.0 installed. 5.0 is installed in /usr/local, so I have to use the arguments to configure to point the make at it.

Here is my "configure" line:
./autogen.sh --prefix=/usr --localstatedir=/var/lib --enable-grt \
   --enable-canvas \
   --with-lua-includes=/usr/local/include \
   --with-lua-libs="-L/usr/local/lib " \
   --with-java-ldflags="-L/usr/lib/java/lib/i386/server -ljvm"

When the build fails, it is because myx_grt_lua.c refers to many lua functions which are in 5.0 and not 5.1 However, the lua-libs argument has not been passed to the compiler at this point.

How to repeat:
Use above setup, with above configure. Type make. The build eventually fails.

Suggested fix:
See patch to be submitted after this bug. I've applied it and the build now gets past this point.

Many thanks for writing a bug report.

Unfortunately MySQL Administrator is not supported for Linux at the moment.

http://www.mysql.com/support/supportedplatforms/tools.html

We will implement whole MySQL Administrator functionality into Workbench. This will fix
your problem by automatism.
