It does not appear to be garbled in 2.0, although the combination of dark and lighter gray in the lettering seems a bit odd (see attached screen shot). I will try to reproduce in 1.3.

I was not able to reproduce this with a 1.3 build either, at least on Windows.

My guess is that we have a default font that is not supported on this particular OS. In this case we try to grab the next font in the list provided by the OS. Maybe it was bad as well. There should be a log entry stating what font we picked if we could not take the default.
