Description:
The installer could add a menu item to Applications > Programming in the main menu. (This is the location where Admin and Query Browser put *their* menu items.)

FWIW, I manually added a menu item with the following properties:

Name: MySQL Workbench
Command: /usr/bin/mysql-workbench
Comment: MySQL Workbench Visual Database Designer
Icon: /usr/share/mysql-workbench/images/MySQLWorkbenchDoc-48.png

How to repeat:
Install Workbench, according to: http://dev.mysql.com/workbench/?p=158

Suggested fix:
Modify installer to add Workbench item to menu.

Since 5.1.4 a menu item is installed and should appear in Applications -> Programming
