Description:
hi,
I have
perl-DBD-MySQL-2.9004-3.1
qt-MySQL-3.3.3-9.3
MySQL-python-1.0.0-1.RHEL4.1
installed on my system. When i try to upgrade it to 5.0.51a-0.rhel4.i386, i am getting the following error:

error: Failed dependencies:
        MySQL conflicts with mysql-4.1.12-3.RHEL4.1.x86_64
        MySQL-server conflicts with mysql-server-4.1.12-3.RHEL4.1.x86_64

How to repeat:
Install MySQL-2.9004-3.1.
and then upgrade with ,

rpm -Uvh MySQL*
where the folder contains,
MySQL-shared-compat-5.0.51a-0.rhel4.i386.rpm
MySQL-server-community-5.0.51a-0.rhel4.i386.rpm
MySQL-client-community-5.0.51a-0.rhel4.i386.rpm
MySQL-shared-community-5.0.51a-0.rhel4.i386.rpm

Thank you for the report.

Please try with version 5.0.67 and if problem still exists try to install MySQL-shared-compat-* first, then rest of packages. Inform us if this does not solve the problem.

Hi Sveta,
Thanks a lot for the solution.
It has started working, though i had to stop the default http services and then get the apache to get to the web-page, It now works fine.

Also can you help me to set-up mails from nagios.

harsh.
