Description:
After upgrading from 5.1.4 to 5.1.7, my web app started reporting errors when connecting to the db-server:

MySql.Data.MySqlClient.MySqlException: Unable to connect to any of the specified MySQL hosts. ---> System.Exception: Exception of type 'System.Exception' was thrown.
   at MySql.Data.MySqlClient.NativeDriver.Open()

The error occurs mostly when web server load is high, it occurs several times per second. Goes away for a couple of minutes and comes back. After downgrading to 5.1.4 the problem is gone.

How to repeat:
It's repeatable in my production environment by switching between 5.1.4 and 5.1.7, don't know how to repeat it otherwise though.

Suggested fix:
Downgrading to 5.1.4 fixed the problem.

Hi Nalle and thanks for your report. Now, I wonder what to do with it... Any ideas (besides logging into your production system, for that you need support contract)?
