Description:
When trying to save a model after running Mysql Workbench OSS, even if it's an empty model, i.e. Run and immediately try to save... The app crashes:
Sometime the following message box pops up:
---------------------------

---------------------------
Unknown Exception caught in c:\documents and settings\tax\my documents\visual studio 2005\projects\wb 5.0\workbench\backend\windows\wb.wr\src\Wb.h at line 1010
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

And sometimes a .NET Exception handling msg box:
(See attachment)

How to repeat:
Run, try to save something

I thought it might be a 32/64 - bit thingy so I tried setting the app to run as 32-bit using:
corflags /32BIT+ MySQLWorkbench.exe

The app still crashes.

dan, do you use any kind of Mouse-AddOn with your Windows Version (like TXMouse i.e.)?
[9 Sep 2008 10:10] Dan Shechter
Nope. Nothing like that.
This error also repeats itself with a Sony TZ 150 running Vista x86.
What is the specific condition you are looking for with TXMouse?
Perhaps I have something else that resembles it.
I might be able to better help you if I understand the underlying condition.

there's a bug report ( http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=38912 ) describing a crash on export which seems to be - as commented later by the reporter - a bug in std. dialogs from .net 1.1 and 2.0 in combination with that specific mouse-extension, as it happens on export when the std.-file-dlg is invoked. we're using those dialogs for open/close as well ... so i thought it might have been a clue :/

Could you please try the version 5.0.25 and comment the results here?. Thanks in advance.
[16 Sep 2008 0:32] Dan Shechter
Same thing happens with 5.0.25.
I wan't to stress that the error doesn't not occur if I have a "ready" file that needs re-saving.

The error also occurs for any save-as dialog.

For example if I export the schema to a create table SQL script and press the browse button to select a folder/file the thing dies.

Please, try to repeat with a newer version, 5.0.26, and inform about the results.
