Description:
Locale pull down menu has duplicated items. For example it has three Japanese options, "日本語", "日本語(Japan)", 日本語(Japan,JP)" (日本語=Japanese). I don't see any difference between them, but they all need to be listed?

How to repeat:
Go to "Setting"->"Global Setting" or "User Preference" and click "locale" pulldown

What will be listed in the language selection could depend on the OS. In my environment, MacOS X 10.5.4, 日本語 and 日本語(日本) are listed.

We get this list from Java. Java gets this list from the OS. I'm really not sure what the differences are between the three Japanese locales but there can be nuances between locales that look identical at the surface in some cases.

What would you guys like to see here?
