Description:
In the catalog, the top level nodes "Tables", "Views" and "Routine Groups" offer a "Rename" option in their context menu. Choosing that initiates editing of the node label. After finishing the edit action, the label is reset to the initial text.

This is a bug. Either label should be editable, or the option to rename should not be offered

How to repeat:
Right click on "Tables" node in the Catalog. In the context menu, choose "Rename". Type a new label text. Hit "Enter". Observe that label is not changed.

Suggested fix:
Don't offer the Rename option.

this has been fixed. fix will be in 5.0.30

An entry was added to the 5.0.30 changelog:

In the Catalog pane, the top level nodes Tables, Views and Routine Groups offer a Rename item in their context menu.

However, after editing the node label, the changes were not saved and the label was restored to the text that was present prior to editing.

Tony, your comment does not state what was fixed. Is the label change saved? or is the action not allowed anymore?
