Description:
Email from DavidS, 2008-07-08:

Hi Docs Team,

A customer was requesting examples of how changing the server
SQL mode could affect a partitioned table, as mentioned in these
two places in our Reference Manual:

http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.1/en/partitioning-limitations.html
http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.1/en/server-sql-mode.html

I had a difficult time coming up with some examples, but Peter
Gulutzan was kind enough to point me to an email that he created
that points out several examples... Perhaps we can incorporate some of his examples into our Reference
Manual?

How to repeat:
See Description.

Suggested fix:
Add a couple of examples showing how Bad Things(TM) can happen if you change SQL_MODE after creating a partitioned table.
