Thank you for a problem report. Similar version, 1.5.0_06, works OK for me. Can you try to re-install Migration Toolkit and check if this will help?

I have reinstalled the toolkit using all the defaults, including "complete" installation. I have rebooted my machine. The same problem occurs. I tried from the command line running mysqlmigrationtool -jvm "c:\program files\java\jre1.5.0_08\bin\client\jvm.dll" but that didn't help.

Thank you for the report. This looks like bug #37470 for me. Do you run 64-bit Windows too?

This will work if you uninstall all java versions and install ONLY and EXACTLY java version 1.5.

Thank you for the feedback. But "MySQL Migration Toolkit" is not supported anymore. Please use MySQL Workbench which includes same functionality instead.
