Description:
I successfully installed both MyODBC drivers successfully. (not at the same time :) ). I checked the registry and both drivers installed properly. The registry indicated that the setup and driver .dlls were successfully installed and listed under the reg hive HKLM/Software/ODBC/MySQL and HKLM/Software/ODBC/ODBCINST.INI.

The problem is that if I go into the ODBC Administrator in "Administrative Tools>Data Sources (ODBC), the "MySQL driver" does not appear in the list for either "System DSN" or "FileDSN", therefore I cannot use the driver. If I click the "Add" button, the list that appears in the registry appears, but MySQL is missing in the list.

I don't know if this is a problem with XP or what. I have spent 3 hours searching Google, MySQL, and the bug archives to no avail. Please help.

Thank you for your time.

Respectfully,
Bobby Long

User may be running into an issue upgrading myodbc where the original myodbc is not being uninstalled completely. In this case the User must manually cleanup registry, file system and odbcinst.ini after uninstall of myodbc and then install latest myodbc.

I have the same problem. It's a FileMaker/DataDirect bug.
