Description:
On the website there are Windows source downloads (tar.gz and zip) for 5.0 but not for 5.1

How to repeat:

Many thanks for reporting a bug.

The source code is the same for Unix, MacOS, Windows or whatever you want to use as operating system.

You only have to make sure that you use a Gnu compiler (gcc).

"Compressed GNU TAR archive (tar.gz)" is the source code for MySQL packages.
It's a zip formatted TAR archive. 
You can decompress it by using the typical Windows decompress tools. 
Usually this should work out of the box with Windows, just double click the file.
