Description:
Cant find the module in perl package manager. cpan lists an updated file posted on May 11th. trying to install from the command line results in an installation error. can we please point whatever back to the older version so it shows up in ppm. id hate to change 2 or 300 lines of my code to point to a different module.

Am I doing something wrong? I have found other users in forums which have the same issue. Please help.

How to repeat:
try a fresh install of active perl and then load the dbd::mysql package. Any perl cgi file you use now gives an error:

Perl module DBD::mysql is not installed.

All Perl modules are available free from CPAN.ORG. Root access to the server is required to install them. Contact your host for advice.

** Halted **

it behaves as if it was not installed.

the 5.10 active perl release does not show dbd:mysql in the list of modules. i uninstalled 5.10 and re-installed 5.8 and it popped back into ppm. i think this has resolved my issue, but anyone trying to use dbd:mysql in the future will have issues, especially if they are new to perl (like me).

Thank you for the bug report.

Thank you for the report.

We don't work on DBD::mysql bugs anymore. All its bugs should go to CPAN: https://rt.cpan.org/Public/Dist/Display.html?Name=DBD-mysql

Since you use Active Perl and this is its packaging issue you can report bug there as well.
