Description:
Kelly Long from our performance team reported that in a benchmark, Maria was significantly outperformed by MyISAM and InnoDB. We should see if this is repeatable and find out why.

How to repeat:
Run Kelly's benchmark

When we figure out how to run the benchmark, we will post it here.

MySQL 6.0.6 added the Maria engine:

May the benchmarking begin.
