Description:
It is unclear if 5.1.24 is considered a RC or a GA release!

How to repeat:
-- says "general availibility"

-- however with version downloaded from official mirror this morning:

select version(); -- 5.1.24-rc-community -- tells this is an RC!

Suggested fix:
Kick back when management kicks you and take your time to do things properly
- UC or not! :-)

That page says:

"Sun Microsystems, Inc. today announced the pending general availability of MySQLâ„¢ 5.1..."

Had you noted "pending" there?

5.1.24 is still RC, not GA.

'pending general availability' .. that was a tricky one!
