Unfortunately we don't have the man power to keep the man pages completely up to date. Please refere to 'command --help' or the MySQL manual for the up to date documentation. (We plan to automaticly generate the man pages from the documentation but have not yet had time to do so).

Thank you for your bug report. This issue has been addressed in the documentation. The updated documentation will appear on our website shortly, and will be included in the next release of the relevant products. This problem has been fixed for some time.
