Hello,

It may be beneficial for performance, administration and resource management purposes to allow the 'merlin' repository to be located on a separate physical server than the  dashboard application itself.

Also there is a request to allow the database to be renamed to something besides "merlin" to avoid conflicting with an existing database on the would-be destination.

The documentation has been updated with the new support for using a separate MySQL instance. The information on using a separate instance is now in the 2.2 documentation. 

Separate, more extensive notes, on the deployment of such installations is currently under production and will be added to the manual soon.
