Description:
Hi,

I can't find MySQL.VisualStudio.dll anywhere and I did a complete install.

How to repeat:
1. see install docs here ->
http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/en/connector-vstudio-install.html

2. get full installer here ->
http://dev.mysql.com/get/Downloads/Connector-Net/mysql-connector-net-5.1.5.zip/from/pick

Suggested fix:
Please make MySQL.VisualStudio.msi extract to ->
C:\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Connector Net 5.1.5\Binaries\NET 2.0\

WORKAROUND : Extract it from 5.2.1 installer ->
msiexec /a c:\mysql.visualstudio.msi to MSI file /qb TARGETDIR=c:\temp

Can't repeat this one. I downloaded 5.1.5 from the url given and installed it on my system. MySql.VisualStudio.dll was found at the following location.

C:\Program Files (x86)\MySQL\MySQL Connector Net 5.1.5\Visual Studio Integration

The user should take care that the Visual Studio integration is enabled for the install.

Please investigate the installer.

Jared

In your screenshot you'll see that Visual Studio integration is not given as an option in the installer. This is done when the installer doesn't detect that Visual Studio 2005 is installed. Is that the case? Do you have Express installed perhaps?

Ahh yes I have VS2008 SP1. What a bugger to fix.
