Description:
I wanted to add a new data source to my VB-project, and after finishing the "Data source Configuration Wizard" a MassageBox appears whth the errormassage: 

"Failed to add relation(s). - Unexpected error."

After clicking ok all tables, views, functions are there as expected but no Foreign key or other relation exists in the Datasource.

 

How to repeat:
My environment:
Windows XP Pro
Mysql 5.1.23 
Mysql-connector-5.2.1
Visual Studio 2008 Team Edition
Database: Sakalia testdatabase

Build a plain Windowsforms vb-project and add a Datasource - to all Tables in the Database - to the project.

I am havening the same problem i can not add a new Data source 

i am only selecting tables it doesn't matter if it is one table or all of them i get that error "Failed to add relation(s)" and then once i hit ok i get failed to add type information.

Is anyone looking in to this bug? Has any progress been made?

I have the same bug, VS 2008 -vista 32 bit Home Premium. Connector/NET 5.2.2

Hi Frank and thanks for your report.

Could it be that it's related to Bug#35459? Can you please try switching to English locale and see if problem goes away.
