Description:
I'm using MySQL Workbench version 5.0.14 OSS and I'm quite happy with the progress of the project. I've been a DbDedigner user and am in desperate need of a graphical overview of the database I'm working on, as structuring the data is getting quite complicated. So a tool like Workbench is crucial! I want to thank you for your efforts. I'll be considering buying the SE version, once it becomes available.

Why I'm posting this, though: I'm missing certain geographical data types. It appears LINESTRING and POLYGON are working, but POINT is not. Whenever I try to set a field to type POINT, the type will vanish and the data type seems to be undefined.

Not sure if this is a bug or missing feature.

Keep up the good work.

Regards,
Bas van Gaalen

How to repeat:
Set column data type to POINT.

Thank you for a problem report. I think this is a (minor) bug really, because of inconsistency in spatial data types support.

Added POINT and other missing gis types.

Fix already released.
