I second this request. In many other applications, a double-click a column's right border adjusts the column's width to fit the data it contains. It seems possible that this feature could be added without adding much complexity to the overall application.

I use the query browser to write and refine queries, and I like it straightaway. (Ok, the help menu isn't working, but I figure I can re-install at some point and hopefully that will have been fixed.) I'd like to add to this request. This is a feature available in other tools, it's disappointing to see this was requested years ago and still isn't there. It's very irritating to resize the columns so that they are all visible, tweak one or two characters in a 50 line sql statement and then lose all the column settings when I re-run the query. My suggestion is to add an option to remember column sizes based on the name of the column. Something like: X No column resizing X Remember column sizes X Permanently (settings saved when Query Browser closed) X Separate sizes for each Resultset Tab X Autofit column sizes to retrieved data The 3 main options would be radio buttons, so mutually exclusive. The 2 detailed tickboxes would only appear if the "Remember Column Sizes" option was chosen. This would give users the option to turn the feature on if they want. Meanwhile I'll go and check out the other tools people have suggested ... - sqlcoder
