Description:
In the table under Reference Guide section 5.1.1, Option and Variable Reference, nearly every option and variable had a hyperlink to further discussion on that item. Why did that go away? That table is useful; that table *with* those links is very useful.

How to repeat:
Navigate to http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.1/en/mysqld-server.html and click on any option or variable in the table: nothing happens.

Suggested fix:
Put the links back in.

Thank you for a problem report. Indeed, in these subsections:

http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.1/en/mysqld-option-tables.html
http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.1/en/server-system-variables.html

hyperlinks disappeared, while here:

http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.1/en/server-status-variables.html

they are still used.

The links are in the mysqld option file. This looks like a problem with the script that creates the table.

Note: The links are gone in the other manuals as well.

Thank you for your bug report. This issue has been addressed in the documentation. The updated documentation will appear on our website shortly, and will be included in the next release of the relevant products.

The links now appear in all versions of the manual.
