Description:
I use slackware 12 with mysql version 5.0.37 and it seems mysql crashes...

MySQL version 5.0.37 is quiet old. Please try newer version (5.0.51) and let us know, if the error still occurs.

did kernel's oom killer kill the mysqld ?

yes kernel killed mysql and restarted but i dont know why...What can i do?

most likely a configuration problem.  you could downsize some my.cnf parameters, so that mysqld doesn't attempt to allocate so much memory.
