mysql-proxy -V
mysql-proxy 0.7.0
  glib2: 2.12.4
  libevent: 1.1

mysql> select * from proxy_config;
ERROR 1105 (07000): (admin-server) query not known

mysql> select * from proxy_connections;
ERROR 1105 (07000): (admin-server) query not known

The mysql-proxy was started with the following parameters:

mysql-proxy \
--proxy-address=X.X.X.8:3306 \
--admin-address=X.X.X.8:4041 \
--proxy-backend-addresses=X.X.X.1:3306 \
--proxy-backend-addresses=X.X.X.2:3306 \
--proxy-backend-addresses=X.X.X.3:3306 \
--daemon \
--plugin-dir=/usr/local/lib/mysql-proxy \
--plugins=admin \

How to repeat:
Install mysql-proxy from current trunk.

Launch mysql-proxy as daemon with few backend addresses.

Run queries "select * from proxy_connections" and "select * from proxy_config"

Actually, as I discovered this behavior is a feature rather than bug. The admin functionality of mysql-proxy 0.0.7 queries has been moved (or about to been moved) from core into lua scripting.
