Description:
Check your settings under Tools->Options and ensure that you have selected the "Ask" option when deleting physical model figures. Place a layer on the canvas. Right click the layer and choose the "Delete" option. No dialogue box appears.

Suggested fix:
Show dialogue box.

layers are not treated as "physical model figures" - therefor the option doens't affect layers. when the layer actually contains objects, the layer is deleted but the objects remain on the canvas.
