We don't document SQL Server. re: BACKUP TABLE and RESTORE TABLE, they were deprecated in 5.0/5.1. http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.1/en/backup-table.html says: "Note This statement is deprecated. We are working on a better replacement for it that will provide online backup capabilities. In the meantime, the mysqlhotcopy script can be used instead." And they were removed in 6.0. See http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/6.0/en/mysql-nutshell.html

*MySQL Server 6.0. Please see my slide attached. 'SQL Server' was a typo!

Ah, okay. The BACKUP and RESTORE statements are not yet in a state that can be documented. By the way, what do you mean by "6.0 is now in RC phase"? MySQL 6.0 is still alpha.

My bad, I meant 5.1. This bug can be closed if BACKUP\RESTORE will not be appearing until 6.x.
