Thank you for the bug report. The same error message is launched on ACER Aspire 5630 running Windows Vista 64-bit.

Similar problem in (OSS Sofware Rendering) when "open recent" and then File/New. I get error message: "Unknown Exeception caught in c:\documents\and settings\mysqldev\my documents\visual studio 2005\projects\mysql-workbench-pro\backend\windows\wb.wr\src\Canvas.h at line 142" The workbench is installed on E:\Program Files (x86)\MySQL\MySQL Workbench 5.0 OSS\ When clicking OK it seem to work (it starts a new canvas). File/open recent gives a canvas with black background which disappears after clicking on the canvas or doing anything that rewrites thecanvas. System is Win XP x64 Pro with NVIDIA 7900GTX supporting Open GL 1.1 up and including 2.1 at 100%.

Hello Joris, could you check if this is still true for you with latest version 5.0.14a? We've made lots of improvement since 5.0.9 and this issue isn't reproducable for me here. thx

It looks like everything is working fine now! Also the software rendering is a lot faster now. Thanks

Closed as seems fixed in 5.0.14.
