After several tests it showed that MySQL 4.1.0 has a problem with the UTF8 coding we use as standard for Administrator libraries since 1.0.2b. Tests with MySQL 4.1.1 and MySQL 5.0.0 have been successfully. If that is an option for you, could you upgrade to 4.1.1 and see if the problem persits?
