Sorry completing the last post: Thank you for the bug report. Could you please verify if your are using the latest released version 5.0.45. If yes and the install process was able to try to start the service, please open a DOS prompt and go to install directory and issue the below command: mysqld-nt --defaults-file=actual_path_to_my.ini --standalone --console and print here possible error/warnings messages. Thanks in advance.
