Description:
I was working on my PHP/MySQL project and just wanted to refresh the
webpage to regenerate data when all of a sudden the web page displays
the following message:
Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Can't connect to
local MySQL server through socket '/var/mysql/mysql.sock' (2) in [path]
on line 9
Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket
'/var/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)

When checking the log I discovered the following message:

"[ERROR] Fatal error: Can't open and lock privileges tables: Table
'user' is marked as crashed and should be repaired"

I can't even connect to MySQL anymore!

I have never seen this message before. Any suggestion/feedback on what
this means.

Thank you

How to repeat:
Cannot be repeated since one cannot log in MySQL
