Description:
we installed mysql on a IBM/os400 V5R4 where we'd already installed php.
Testing our application we've realized that mysqld job cpu consumption is very high (about 50%) and its execution time is about 50% higher then on our linux box. Any suggestion or consideration?
Thank you

How to repeat:
test the same configuration.

Thank you for a problem report. Please, send the results of SHOW GLOBAL STATUS and SHOW VARIABLES from both Linux and i5OS.

Are you sure you have same amounts of data and same workload on these boxes?

Both the boxes are underloaded, mysql database on os400 is a copy of the one on linux and input data is the same db2 table.
