Description:
I wanted to upgrade my running MySQL cluster (5.0.26) so i downloaded version 5.0.45 for Linux (mysql-5.0.45-linux-i686-glibc23.tar.gz). My Managemnt Node is on a Dell PW with Fedor Core 7 while my 2 data nodes are on Dell PowerEdge 1950 with FC 5.

First i installed MySQL completely on the management server (since the hard disk crashed a while ago). I started ndb_mgmd successfully and ndb_mgm showed everything was OK.

After this i stopped the first data node and copied the new ndbd over the existing one under /usr/sbin. When i start ndbd again the management console shows me the following message after a while:
ndb_mgm> Node 2: Forced node shutdown completed. Occured during startphase 5. Caused by error 2341: 'Internal program error (failed ndbrequire)(Internal error, programming error or missing error message, please report a bug). Temporary error, restart node'. - Unknown error code: Unknown result: Unknown error code

The error log of the data node contains the following:
Time: Tuesday 16 October 2007 - 10:30:03
Status: Temporary error, restart node
Message: Internal program error (failed ndbrequire) (Internal error, programming error or missing error message, please report a bug)
Error: 2341
Error data: Dbdict.cpp
Error object: DBDICT (Line: 2683) 0x0000000a
Program: ndbd
Pid: 20959
Trace: /var/lib/mysql-cluster/ndb_2_trace.log.2
Version: Version 5.0.45
***EOM***

So at this moment i have a running cluster with one management node (5.0.45) and only one data node (5.0.26).

How to repeat:
Probably by doing what i described above.

Thank you for a problem report. Please, try to repeat with a newer version, 5.0.51a, and inform about the results.

Valeriy,

thanks for your response. I solved my problem a few moths ago by performing a complete new installation of the cluster.

With kind regards,
Erwin
