Description:
When I try to access startup variables I get the message: 
"Could not locate the my.cnf configuration file." 
I have installed MySQL-server-4.0.18-0 RPM on my Fedora Core 1 
notebook, /etc/my.cnf does exist.

More informative message on where it is looking for my.cnf

Thank you for your bug report. This issue has been committed to our
source repository of that product and will be incorporated into the
next release.

If necessary, you can access the source repository and build the latest
available version, including the bugfix, yourself. More information
