Description:
Hi,

I have a problem here which i failed to start my database instance. The errors that i got are "-24895, ERR_SHUTDOWN: shutdown of database occurred -71, connection broken"

P/S: I have attached the knldiag, dbm.prt, dbm.util, knldiag.err files together with it. Hope this helps.
  

How to repeat:
1. I try Start instance in the services. Fail to start.
2. Try start it using command line failed again. Attahced in this report, see error.jpg

Restart the DB instance using dbmcli command

Do u mean reinstall the MaxDB 7.6.00.37 and try it again?
I went to sapdb.org and i could not find the version that u say i only found version 7.4.03. Can you please tell me where to get the version u stated?

For your information, I do not have the backup of the database but I do have a backup of the harddisk using the tape drive. Can i restore the db using the available file(DAT_0001)?

Yes, 7.4.3 was the last version officially released by SAP (I had used SAP DB a lot in the past). Then they gave it away for support by MySQL, and it was called MaxDB.
