This is by design. The intention was to allow you to send a trap for the current transaction only, forcing you to explicitly request traps each time you want them set rather than each save. That being said, there's an argument for saving this value OR indicating that it is transient (to avoid confusion). I will discuss with Gary to determine which is the preferred resolution.
